Frances Brisbin Pospisil, 83, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2005. She was born on January 26th, 1922, in Eagle Grove, IA, and was the daughter of the late Fred and Nellie Jones Brisbin. She is survived by a son, Jerry B. Pospisil and wife Mimi of Tryon, a daughter, Jill P. Age and husband Phil of Mattoon, IL; one granddaughter, Wendy King and husband Michael of Ocoee, FL; grandsons, Matthew Pospisil of Clermont, Fl; Justin and Andrew Age of Mattoon, IL; great-grandchildren Zachary and Kaylee King of Ocoee, FL and Matthew Pospisil II of Clermont, FL. Frances is preceded in death by her husband Charles Bernard Pospisil, three brothers and two sisters.

Frances was a Secretary for the Navy in Washington State where she met her late husband, Charles. After the war they made their home in Brea, CA where she was an Administrative Secretary at Cal-State University, Fullerton for 20 years. Upon retirement relocated to Landrum, SC where she was a member of the Congregational Church of Tryon, NC active in the choir as well as Community Chorus and the Carolines. Also a member of the Links of Tryon where she and her late husband enjoyed golf.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 3rd at 10:30 am at the Congregational Church in Tryon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tryon Arts and Crafts, the Music Fund at the Congregational Church or to the Church Memorial Garden Fund.
