Donald Lee Brisbin was born April 14, 1909 at Eagle Grove, the son of Fred and Nellie Jones Brisbin. He was educated in the Eagle Grove schools, and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. He was united in marriage to Wilma Marley of Eagle Grove on June 4, 1934, at Eagle Grove. The couple farmed for 2 years near Woolstock and then moved to their present farm home, where they have lived since that time.

Mr. Brisbin died of a heart attack while at work on the farm, Monday, December 8, at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 24 days. He is survived by his wife; one son, Robert Brisbin, Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; two brothers: Richard Brisbin, Cedar Rapids; Fred Brisbin, Webster City; five sisters: Iola, Mrs. Walter Moeller and Lucy, Mrs. Norman Weiss, Fort Dodge; Ruth, Mrs. Robert Hanson, Eagle Grove; Frances, Mrs. C. B. Pospisil, Brea, Calif.; Betty, Mrs. Marvel Severson, Merrifield, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Brisbin was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, White Shrine, Blue Lodge, and Commandery. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Donald Glazier officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
