Services for Bernard J. Loftus, 58, of 718 W. 17th St., Davenport, will be at 9 am Wednesday in Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 8 pm today in the Halligan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Loftus died early Sunday in Mercy Hospital. Born in Gilmore City, Iowa, he married Edna Edleman in Clinton in June 1939. He had lived in Davenport since 1949. He was a pipefitter with the Aluminum Company of America prior to retirement. Surviving are his wife; sons David B. of Fort Devons, Mass., Donald E. and Stephen J., both at home; daughters Joan Marie and Janice Mary, also at home; brothers Frank, Clinton, Joseph, Thomas and John, all of Hardy, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. James Gilligan, Luverne, Iowa.
