12 July 1868 --- 14 May 1941

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, May 16, for Mrs. Jennie Watson, at the Methodist Church with Rev. O. R. Jones, pastor officiating. Burial will be made in the Reinbeck Cemetery. Mrs. Watson died Wednesday afternoon following a years illness of cancer, and for the past several months has been confined to her bed. Mrs. Watson has been cared for by her son Glen and wife, who moved into her home for that purpose, and they have been assisted by her daughters, Mrs. Clara Creiger of Silvis, Illinois, and Mrs. Calve Morris and other relatives.

Mrs. Watson was born in Perth, Scotland, July 12, 1868, the daughter of John P. and Jane Duncan Rogers. She came with her parents to America in 1870. She was united in narriage to William Watson in October 1893 in Goldfield, Iowa, the couple coming directly to Reinbeck to make their home where Mr. Watson had a barber business. To this union was born three children, Glen of Reinbeck, Calva Morris of Elma, Iowa and Clara Creager of Silvis, Illinois. The husband died January, 1907. Also surviving are five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Deceased was a member of the Coinette Chapter, O. E. S. and the Rebekah lodge. She lived the last forty-six years of her life in the house where she died.
