August 17, 1889 --- November 13, 1892

Twice within the year has death invaded the home of R. W. Thomas, this time taking from their midst little Frank Speers, son of Mrs. Addie Speers. The little one died of diphtheria Sunday evening, Nov. 13th, at eight o'clock, aged three years, two months and twenty seven days. The funeral was private, only the relatives and the minister accompanying the remains to the cemetery. [Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove] The young mother has the sincere sympathy of the community.
