Gloria Ann (Romer) Staley Faiferlick, the daughter of George J. and Leona M. (Erdman) Romer, was born July 10, 1944, in Algona, Iowa. On January 19, 1963, Gloria was united in marriage with John Staley at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1981. Gloria was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served as director of Eagle Grove Senior Citizens. Gloria enjoyed reading books and was very crafty – needle point, crocheting and making several baby quilts which she donated.

Gloria passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, in Fort Dodge at the age of 70 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Moser. Gloria is survived by her daughters: Tammy Wehmeyer of Adel, Theresa Staley of Belmond and Tracy Carstensen and her husband Brad of Dayton; six grandchildren: Donald Bieghler, John Staley, Zack Carstensen, Amanda Carstensen, Kenny Carstensen and Shelby Tait-Staley; seven great-grandchildren: Brenden, Layla, Dominic, Isabella, Serenity, Jezel, McKenzie and Brayden and sister, Georgiann Loynachon of Lakeville, MN.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm., Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove with Father Jerry Blake celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time in the Parish Hall. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove in charge of arrangements.
