JOHN H. (JACK) HALLER
Jack Haller, 83, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. He was born on January 15, 1931 to Chester and Daisy Haller in Kanawha, IA. Jack grew up and attended schools in Des Moines, IA. On August 10, 1950 he married Janet Gohner. After marriage they made their home in Des Moines for many years, and in 1971 they moved to Overland Park. Jack worked at for Continental Baking Co. for 45 years, and eventually became manager before retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed doing carpentry work and had a wide variety of tools. He also enjoyed watching the Chiefs and Jayhawks and other sports teams liked by his children. Jack is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Janet Haller; five sons, Kirk, Randy, Chris, Rick and Michael Haller, all of KC and surrounding cities; one daughter Kelly Morales of McAllen, TX; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his two brothers, Dick and Bill Haller, and sister Avis Shuck, all of Des Moines. Family will receive friends from 11:00AM on Friday, October 3rd at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00PM at the same location. Burial will be held at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church. Johnson County Funeral Chapel.
