Vada June (Noble) Hughes Demry daughter of Arlo and Altha (Roberts) Noble was born June 7, 1921 in Wayne County, Iowa. She passed away September 13, 2014 in Clarion, Iowa. She graduated from Promise City High School in 1938 and Centerville Junior College in 1940. June started her teaching career at Little Flock country school in Appanoose County. She continued to teach in Pella, DeSoto, Dows and Urbandale. On August 10, 1943 she was married to Willard Elmo Hughes. To this union three daughters were born Marilyn Kay, Carolyn Rae, and Cynthia Diane. Elmo passed away in 1971. After Elmo's death she returned to Wayne County.

On February 21, 1975 she married Edgar Demry. She resided in Sewal until August 2013 when she moved to Dows to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's events at county fairs and going to the Iowa State Fair. She also enjoyed camping, attending music festivals and most of all garage sale, trips to Lakeside Casino and a good game of pitch.

She is survived by daughters Marilyn Houck (Raymond) of Dows, IA and Carolyn Hughes of Spring Texas, and grandchildren Jennifer Houck-Lambert (Paul), JoLynne Houck-Davis (Doug), Joshua Appling (Elissa) and Jacob Hughes. A step-granddaughter Elizabeth Demry, twelve great-grandchildren and brother-in-law Roger Demry (Valerie) also survive June. Preceding her in death are her husband's Elmo and Ed, daughter Cynthia, her parents, stepson Jim Demry, sister Duala Swan and brother Charley Noble.
