Charlotte Marlene Johnson Wright died on July 14, 2014. A long-time resident of Virginia Beach, Charlotte was born March 18, 1933 in Eagle Grove Iowa. She was predeceased by husband Dr. James C. Wright (Dr. Jim) and her parents, Bessie Helgevold Johnson and Myron Johnson, and her sister Phyllis Johnson Tryhus of Fargo, North Dakota. Charlotte was always active in vocal music from grade school through her college years. After high school graduation, she was a music major at Northern Iowa University until her transfer to the State University of Iowa where she earned her Bachelor's degree in nursing in 1956. She was an active participant in her family's favorite activity, fishing, and at one time held numerous International Game Fish Association line class world records. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

She was the widow of her husband Dr James C. Wright (Dr. Jim). She is survived by her two sons, James David Wright and his wife Ann of Virginia Beach, and Bruce Timothy Wright and his wife Yvette Tramount of Charleston South Carolina, and her two granddaughters Chelsea and Rachael Wright of Virginia Beach and two grandsons, Christopher Tramount and Steven James Wright of Charleston. A visitation will be held on Thursday starting at 1pm and a funeral service beginning at 2pm at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
