Jose Raymond Vaughn, son of Charles and Lizzie [Middleton] Vaughn, died at the Topeka State Hospital Sept. 23, 1953, following a prolonged illness. Jose was born May 2, 1892, at Eagle Grove, Iowa, and when one year of age moved with his parents to a farm southwest of Glasco, where he remained with the exception of several years spent in Idaho and the last few years at the Topeka Hospital. He had reached the age of 61 years, 4 months and 21 days. Survivors are his sister, Mrs. Ruth Elliott of Glasco, and several nieces and nephews. Short graveside services were held at the Glasco cemetery with Rev. Holliday reading the Scripture and offering a prayer.
