Body of Norman Wheeler To Be Buried Here

Brief prayer services will be held Friday afternoon for Norman at the Donovan Funeral Home this Thursday afternoon, Norman Wheeler, aged 59, who passed away Monday, March 26 at his home at Coffeeville, Kansas. Mr. Wheeler was a cousin of Mrs. Sarah Price of Spirit Lake. His death came as a result of heart trouble following a stroke. He had been ill for a year and a half.

Rev. George Cox will conduct the services and burial will be in the Lakeview cemetery in the family lot, beside the bodies of his parents, Lafe Wheeler and Jane Morgan Wheeler and a brother, Earl and sister, Nellie Wentler. He was the last member of the family. Mr. Wheeler's brother-in-law, Fred Wentler of Sioux Falls came Wednesday to make arrangements for the services and was joined here today by Mrs. Wentler.

Norman Wheeler was born Oct. 14, 1885 at Eagle Grove. When he was a small child his parents moved to Spirit Lake and then went to Harris in around 1898, Mr. Wheeler's father being a carpenter who built many of the first buildings in Harris when the town was first started. Norman was a graduated from the Harris high school. During recent years he has owned and operated a pecan farm in Georgia and divided his time between his work there and his home in Kansas. He is survived by his widow, Dr. Sarah Stebbins Wheeler and a Step-daughter, Mrs. Howard Swift and a granddaughter, the child of Mr. and Mrs. Swift.
