Last Rites for Ray Ralston

Funeral services were held at Alice Church {Conrad, Grundy County, Iowa] last Thursday (12th) for Ray Ralston, former Conrad man who died in Eagle Grove on Monday (9th) of last week, following a heart attack. The services were conducted by Rev. B.C. Yeager. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church. He was 71 years old. Ralston was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ralston. He was born in Dec 1880 at the Ralston homestead north of Conrad. He farmed in the Alice community and near Eagle Grove here he moved 34 years ago and married Elsie Harris, Conrad, who died in 1915. Surviving are the widow; the former Mrs. Lena (Rena) Williams of Eagle Grove, and three children; Elon Ralston of Grundy Center, James Ralston of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Lucille Smith of Glasgow, Montana. Also surviving are five brothers and sisters; Mrs. Minne Shirk, Bruce, Miss.; Frank Ralston, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Harold Ralston, Richland, Wash.; Mark Ralston, Conrad; Clayton Ralston, Morrison; and Mrs. (Iva) Jack Comstock of Whitten.
