November 19, 1878 --- June 26, 1956

Funeral services for Martin T. Munson, 77, were held at the First Presbyterian church at West Bend on Thursday June 28 at 2:00 p.m Rev. Caleb Pancoast officiated at the services. A mixed quartet sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" accompanied by Stephen Williams. Floral arrangements were in charge oŁ Mrs. Jerry Schutter and Mrs. Dave Zaugg. James Barber was usher. Casket bearers were Ross Vaux, Thorston Satern, Dave Zaugg, Raymond Wilson, Lon Brown and Wm. Hundertmark. Interment was in the West Bend cemetery with the Bogaard Funeral Home of West Bend in charge of arrangements.

Martin Theodore Munson was born in Buckingham, Ill. on November 19, 1878, and passed away June 26 at his home in West Bend. His parents were John and Sarah Munson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. His family moved to Slater, Iowa when he was 13. Mr. Munson attended grade school in Ames and Luther College at Decorah. On April 11, 1903 he married Rosa Bohney at Eagle Grove, Iowa. Later they moved to Rolfe and then to West Bend. They were the parents of 3 daughters 6 sons; one daughter, his parents, one sister and six brothers preceding Mr. Munson in death. The deceased was a Real estate dealer in West Bend for the last 40 years. He leaves to his death his wife Rosa, 6 sons, 2 daughters, 29 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His children are John of Graettinger, Howard of Emmmetsburg, Olive (Mrs. Bob Day) and Clifford of West Bend, Ted of Hollandale, Minn., Clarence of Sutherland, Robert of Bradgate and Charlene (Mrs. John Douglas) of Denver, Colo. Friends and relatives attended the funeral services from Lincoln and Omaha, Nebr., Carlsbad, N. Mex., Hollandale, Minn., Des Moines, Huxley, Eagle Grove, Vincent, Kanawha, Bradgate, Rolfe, Plover, Emmetsburg, Graettinger, Fort Dodge, Cylinder, Mallard, Ottosen, Ayrshire and Livermore, Iowa.
