February 6, 1885 --- November 28, 1974

Funeral services for Rosa Munson were held Saturday Nov. 30, 1974 at 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lawrence Johnson of Rodman Presbyterian Church officiating, burial was in the West Bend cemetery, with the Schellhammer Funeral Home in charge.

Rosa Agatha Munson, daughter of Carl and Harriet Bohney, was born on February 6, 1885 at Eagle Grove, where she grew up and was educated, and on April 11, 1903 she was united in marriage to Martin Munson at Eagle Grove,. The couple then moved to a farm near West Bend and in 1918 moved into West Bend. Mr. Munson died in 1956. Rosa passed away Thursday, November 28 at Emmetsburg Care Center in Emmetsburg reaching the age of 89 years. Surviving are children; John Munson of Greattinger; Howard Munson of Emmetsburg; Mrs. Olyve Day and Clifford Munson both of West Bend; Theodore Munson of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Clarence Munson of Cherokee, Robert Munson of Bradgate, Ia. and Mrs. Charlene Douglas of Page, Arizona. Also 26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Mrs. Munson was a member of the Rodman Presbyterian Church, a member of Ladies Aid and Royal Neighbors of America. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, 1 half sister, 1 brother and 2 grandchildren.

During the service Mr. and Mrs. David Fehr sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "In The Garden," accompanist was Miss Clara Campbell. Casket bearers were John Munson, James Munson, Merlin Munson, Steven Munson, Glenn Munson, Phillip Munson.
