Services pending for Margaret Smith

Miss Margaret Smith died at Trinity East Hospital, Fort Dodge, Wednesday morning. She had been hospitalized for about two weeks. Miss Smith is survived by one brother Peter Smith with whom she made her home and nephews and nieces including Roger Smith of Eagle Grove. Services are pending at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Margaret M. Smith, daughter of Pete and Mary Smith, was born November 23, 1895 in Eagle Grove where she later attended the Sacred Heart Parochial School. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eagle Grove. Margaret had lived her entire life with her brothers in Eagle Grove and had been housekeeper for them many years. She had been in failing health for several months and entered Trinity East Hospital in Fort Dodge on April 10. She died on April 24, having reached the age of 78 years, 5 months and 1 day. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. She is survived by one brother, Pete Smith of Eagle Grove; three nephews, Roger Smith of Eagle Grove; Merle and Darwin Smith of Des Moines; and two nieces: Mrs. Ralph Bell and Mrs. Franklin J. Brown, both of Santa Ana, Calif. Funeral services were held Friday morning at Sacred Heart Church and burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Rev. E. W. Lechtenberg officiated.
