Plan Rites for John Simon, 81

Services Planned for Eagle Grove Farmer on Thursday Afternoon

EAGLE GROVE — John B. Simon, 81, retired farmer, died at his residence Monday after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Wilson funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. Albert S. Kilbourn of the Congregational church. Burial will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. He is survived by the wife; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Jaques of Hinton, Okla.; Mrs. R. M. Morgan and Mrs. Flovie Ridge of Eagle Grove, and one son, Joseph Ridge of Humboldt; also by 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was born in Portsmouth,
Ohio, and operated a farm in the vicinity of Eagle Grove, retiring approximately 20 years ago. He was identified with the Methodist church.
