GOLDFIELD - Wayne Bernard Janson, the son of Kenneth and June (Duitscher) Janson, was born October 19, 1940, in Wright County, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1959 and later attended Eagle Grove Junior College. He served in the United States Army from June 1959 until his honorable discharge in May, 1962. Wayne married Sharon "Red" Dudley in Clarion. Wayne worked for Boone Valley Processing and AGP for over 40 years, retiring in 2005. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Wayne passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion, Iowa at the age of 73 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and brothers-in-law, Jerry Reinsel, Lynn Mulholland and Marlin Strebe. Survivors include his siblings: Wilma Reinsel of Webster City, Skip Janson (Nancy) of Cambridge, IL, Linda Mulholland of Dumcombe, Jo Ann Grimm (Paul) of Solan, Paul Janson (Sue) of The Dalles, OR, Janice Strebe of Gatesville, TX, Doris Janson of Eagle Grove and Dennis Janson (Terri) of North Tonawanda, NY; stepdaughter, Heather Perez (Joey) and their children of Goldfield. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
