Mrs. Heden

Anna Malinda Ersland, 72, daughter of John and Gertma Anderson Ersland, was born August 16, 1894, at Thor, Iowa, and passed away at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, November 22, 1966. She was reared and educated at Thor, and in 1919, married Nels Heden. The couple farmed in the area moving to a farm two miles south of Hardy in 1937 where they resided until 1965 when, because of failing health, they moved to the Rotary Ann Home at Eagle Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Heden was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran church, and was a life long member.

She is survived by her husband and two children, John of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Mrs. Marjorie Poutre of Thor. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Herman Ernst, of Bend, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ben Ersland.

Funeral sevices were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hardy, Iowa, at 2 p. m. , November 26, 1966. with Pastor Ernest Quam officiating. Casket bearers were Jay Ersland, Lewis Johnson, Alvin Hansen, Myron Westre, Lawrence Mandsager, and Art Poutre. Art Nelson and Orville Nervig were ushers. Interment was in the church cemetery.
