Lloyd Dean Bonjour, 73, of Dows, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. He was born on May 5, 1940, in Rockwell, Iowa, to LaVern Nowell and Helen Francis (Mullen) Bonjour. Lloyd graduated from Hansell High School and attended Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. He served his country in the United States Army as a Medical Corpsman, while being stationed in France. Lloyd attended services at the Seventh-day Adventist in Hampton. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, gardening, cooking and his dogs. Lloyd is survived by his brother Dwayne (Kelly) Bonjour of Idaho Falls, Idaho, brother Lamoyne (Cheryl) Bonjour of Waverly, brother Gene Bonjour of The Philippines, sister Kathy Bonjour of Hampton, three aunts, two uncles, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents and one niece. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Church of the Living Word in Hampton, with Pastor Jacob Rahrig officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
