Shirley Keigher, 84, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Duncombe. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where there will be a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. all at the funeral home.

Survivors include her children, Dan and his wife Marsha of Glendale, AZ; Rick of Rockport, TX; Bill and his wife Brenda of Colorado Springs, CO; Linda Dencklau and her husband Keith of Fort Dodge; Steve and his wife Jaci of Fort Dodge; Kurt of Des Moines; 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mildred (Hanrahan) Crimmins, husband, Gerald "Jerry" Keigher in 2008; sons, Denny, Terry, and Jeff; and her granddaughter, Tami; brothers, Don, Leo, Cliff, and Clete.

Shirley Crimmins was born on January 1, 1929 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools in Barnum. On July 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to Gerald Keigher at St. Joseph's Church in Barnum and they established their home on a farm near Wilmington, IL. In 1961, the couple moved to a farm near Vincent where they farmed until their retirement in 1985. Shirley and Jerry were then able to spend their winter months in Arizona. She enjoyed to golf and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
