1846 --- February 19, 1893

G. E. Boynton, assistant superintendent of the C. & N. W. railway at Eagle Grove, died Sunday after an operation for appendicitis. He had been identified for years with the Northern Iowa division of the C.& N. W. railway, and in that capacity had won the respect and esteem of all who worked under his orders, and the confidence of his superior officers. He had been an active and progressive citizen of Eagle Grove, and been foremost in all matters of public improvement there.
