Eagle Grove Barber's Funeral Service Held

EAGLE GROVE, Jan. 4. — Carl Lukehart, barber, 41, [45?] died at his residence Wednesday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Friday at the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home in charge of the Rev. A. S. Kilbourn of the Congregational church. He is survived by the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Everett Mulholland, Webster City, and Betty, Eagle Grove, and four sons, Jack, Joe, Ed and Bill in Eagle Grove.

Carl William Lukehart peacefully passed away on Jan. 2 at his home in Eagle Grove. He was born at Gallatin, Mo., July 1, 1889. In the year 1912 he was united in marriage to Miss Eva Van Buskirk of Blairsburg. They have made their home in Eagle Grove for the past 18 years and Carl was a barber here for 15 years. He has been in poor health for the last three years, but was able to be up and around until two days before his passing. He was indeed a kind, considerate, loving husband and father, always anxious about the welfare of his family.

He leaves to mourn his passing a loving wife and six children, Mrs. Everett Mulholland of Webster City, Betty, Jack, Joe, Eddie and Billle. Also one brother, Earl, and one nephew, Don Lukehart.

Of these that are left, his wife and companion will miss him most, for she has taken continual care of him during his illness. It was her tender, loving hands and words of endearment that helped him to bear his affliction. Words cannot express how he will be missed, by all of his loved ones and friends.

His Lord and Saviour is our comfort and consolation, and we know that we shall meet him in the Great Beyond where there is no more suffering, pain or sorrow.
