ALEXANDER - Iva June Myers, 76 of Alexander, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Belmond Medical Center in Belmond. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Alexander United Methodist Church with burial in the Alexander Cemetery. Rev. Tony Hershy will be the officiating clergy.

Iva was born June 16, 1924, in Alexander, to W. C. and Etta Muhlenbruch Westaby. She was raised and educated in Alexander schools. On Dec. 16, 1943, Iva married Keith Myers in Alexander, and was a homemaker. She belonged to the Alexander United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women, as well as the Under 80's group and the Alexander Library Board. Iva enjoyed family traveling, especially the Alaska Cruise, stamp collecting, and photography.

Survivors include her husband, Keith, of Alexander; five daughters, Diana Sosalla, and her husband, Richard, of Urbandale, Denise Korth and her husband, Norval, of Dows, Donyce Paisley, and her husband, William, of Omaha, Neb., Darlynn Herweg, and her husband, Raymond, Omaha, Danette Ogden and her husband, Chuck, of Omaha; a brother, Marlo Westaby of Alexander; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He preceded by his parents, a granddaughter, Nicole Sosalla; and a sister, Norma Braun. Siestema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton, is in charge of arrangements.
