ALEXANDER — Jesse L. R. Westaby died Friday in the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Hampton Cemetery, with the Green-Sietsma Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born Oct 6, 1895 in Woodbine, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Westaby. He was a farmer and trucker and served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Jones, Hampton, and Mrs. Huldah Jacobs, Iowa Falls; and one brother, Willie, Alexander.
