Anna Arends rites Wednesday in Alexander

ALEXANDER — Mrs. J. C. (Anna) Arends died Sunday at the Lutheran Hospital, Hampton. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the christian Reformed Church here with burial in Alexander Cemetery. Green-Sietsma Funeral Home, Hampton, was in charge.

Born at Grand Rapids, Mich., she was the daughter of a minister. She lived in South Dakota, Ackley, Kanawha and Alexander, where her father held pastorates. She was married to John C. Arends. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James (Edna) Tucker, Hampton; Mrs. Leonard (Lena) Van Dusseldorp, Thornton; Mrs. Hazel Benson, Grand Meadows, Minn.; three sons, Orville, Alexander; Richard, Kanawha; Henry, Rowan; 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
