ALEXANDER, Iowa—Services for Rev. Edwin Arends, 88, Alexander, Church of Christ minister who had pastorships in the Rockford and Freeport, Ill., areas, were held Feb. 10 in Latimer, Iowa. Rev. Arends died Feb. 16 in a Belmond hospital where he had been a patient for several days. He had retired recently and moved to Alexander. Survivors include his widow, Margaret; a daughter, Mrs. W. Earl Siria, Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Grover, Williams; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Michaels, Clear Lake, Iowa, and Mrs. Oscar Hensel, Alexander; and two grandchildren.
