November 12, 1878 --- January 11, 1971

C. C. [Clarence C.] Rusk, 92, a longtime resident of the Webster City community, died at his home in the Mulberry Center community NE of Webster City. The son of Jeremiah H. and Sarah Jane Sniff Rusk. At an early age, he moved from Ohio with his parents to Tampico, Ill., where he was reared and educated. As a young man, he came to Iowa and was employed in the Wright county area. He was united in marriage Feb. 28, 1912 to Alice M. Champlin, and for seven years the couple farmed near Belmond. In 1918, the family moved to a farm near Galt and 1934 moved to a farm in the Mulberry Center area near Webster City. In addition to his own children, Mr. & Mrs. Rusk raised three nephews, Frank Champlin of Holmes, and two others who preceded him in death. Mrs. Rusk preceded him in death June 30, 1970. Also my his parents, one brother and one sister. He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Forrest P. Rusk and Duane Rusk, both of Webster City, Mrs. Aleta Rossotti of Atwater, Calif; two grandchildren, Daniel and Karen Rusk and several nieces and nephews.
