August 24, 1911 -- April 4, 2002

Beulah Jessen, 90, Webster City, died Thur. April 4, 2002 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. James Buffington officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Beulah Irene Mourlam, daughter of Albert and Sophie Claude Mourlam, was born August 24, 1911 of a farm east of Woolstock. She attended rural schools in that area. On Oct 6, 1932, she married Arvene Wilbur Jessen at Elkhorn, S.D. The couple resided in various locations in the Webster City area. Mr. Jessen did on April 17, 1974.

Mrs. Jessen is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Jessen Webster City, Garry and LaVon Jessen, Macomb, Ill., Robert and Ola Jessen of Dardanelle, AR.; daughter, Patricia Jackson of Silverdale, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Lovelace and brother, Mervin Mourlam, both of Webster City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers in infancy; daughters-in-law, Shirley Jessen and Gayla Jessen; son-in-law, Robert Jackson. She spent many hours as an RSVP member and received much enjoyment from her family and friends.
