Mrs. Velma E. Crovisier, 70, a former Webster City resident, died Sunday, March 1st, at the St. Anthony hospital in Carroll. Visitation was at the Twit Funeral home in Carroll, Monday and until time of services. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist church in Carroll with the Rev. Ernest W. Larson officiating. Services will also be held Tues. at 2 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist church in Webster City with Rev. James S. Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery at Webster City.
Velma Gage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gage, was born in Webster City Dec 24, 1910 and was reared and educated in Webster City. She was married to Robert Crovisier June 20, 1934 at Fort Dodge and the couple farmed four and on-half mile northeast of Woolstock. Mrs. Crovisier has lived in Carroll area since 1974. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Wiederien of Dedham, Iowa; one son, Dean Crovisier of Ankeney; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence Gage of Charles City, Virgil Gage of Webster City, and Clifford Gage of Marshalltown; and three sisters, Mrs. Velda Apel of Charles City, Mrs. Mable Warwick of Webster City and Mrs. Leonard(Hilda) Bergeson of Webster City. She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Webster City. She was a former employee of the Montgomery Ward store in Webster City for many years.
