Robert John Crovisier, 66, a lifelong resident of the Woolstock community, died suddenly last evening while enroute to the hospital in Clarion, after having become ill at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist church with the Rev. Byron Surface officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Monday, when it will be taken to the church.
Robert John Crovisier, son of Charles and Helen Klaas Crovisier, was born Oct. 18, 1907, at Woolstock where he was reared and educated. He was united in marriage June 20, 1934, to Velma Gage, and the couple had always farmed on the home farm one mile north of the French church. He is survived by his wife; one son, Dean of Elkhart, Iowa; a daughter Mrs. Jim (Beth) Wiederien of Dedham, Iowa; five grandchildren; two aunts, Miss Emma Crovisier and Miss Vera Crovisier, both of this city. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist church and the Birthday club. He had served as a Wright county assessor for 16 years.
