February 8, 1878 --- March 30, 1982

Miss Emma Crovisier, 104, Hamilton county's oldest resident, died early this morning at the Hamilton County hospital where she had been hospitalized several times recently. She had resided at Crestview Manor the past four years. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. James Pittman officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Emma Crovisier, daughter of John and Caroline Bernard Crovisier, was born Feb. 8, 1878, at Ottawa, Ill. She moved to Wright county with her parents when she was one year old and was reared and educated in the Woolstock area rural schools. She moved to Webster City in 1909, and for many years she did seamstress work in the Webster City area. Since reaching her 100th birthday she had received each year many letters and congratulatory messages from national dignitaries. She is survived by one sister, Vera Crovisier of this city; 11 nieces and nephews, one of whom is Mrs. George Rasmussen of this city, and several great-nieces and nephews. She had a great love for and was very active in gardening work, many benefited from her gardening efforts.
