Augudy 30, 1895 --- March 5, 1963

Services for Mrs. Augusta D. Groen, 67, who died Friday night in a local [Caldwell, Idaho] hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel. Pastor John Bejema of the Berean Baptist Church, Nampa, will officiate. Interment will be in Canyon Hill.

Mrs. Groen was born in LaSalle, Illinois, August 30, 1895. She was one of nine children. At 16, she moved to DeKalb, Illinois, with her parents. Later she moved to Meservey, Iowa, to live with her sister. She was married to George Groen May 5, 1917, in Meservey. They farmed near Belmond, Iowa for 10 years before coming to Idaho in September 1930. Mrs Groen has resided here since that time. Mr Groen died Nov 18, 1945, in Caldwell. She was a member of the Sew and So Club and a past president of the Hugh Wilson Womans Relief Corps.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth, Hollister, California, LuVerne, John Day, Oregon, and Wayne H, Phillipsburg, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. Lois E. Seguine, Mrs. Erma A Brunmeier and Mrs. Phyllis Barnes, all of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Olga Wichstrom, DeKalb, Ill., and Mrs Louise Nachtgail, Phoenix, Arizona 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild (Warren E.
