September 25, 1903 --- February 16, 1972

Funeral services for Mrs. George Bell, 68, were held Friday afternoon, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. in United Methodist Church at Renwick, with burial in Vernon Cemetery at Hardy and Rev. Donald Glazier officiating, Blake Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bell died Feb 16, in Belmond Memorial Hospital. Survivors include the widower, George, a son and daughter, Robert Johnson of Klemme and Mrs. Earnest (Barbara) Pergande of Renwick; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harl and Thomas Gimer of Renwick, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Blanche) Gibbs of Honolulu, Hawaii and Mrs. Stanley (Thelma) McCurry of Renwick.

Bernice Gimer was born at Abbott Crossing near Ackley. Her parents moved to Klemme while she was a young girl. She was married to Clarence Johnson at Klemme and later they moved to Renwick. Clarence died at Renwick in the fall of 1951. In 1954 she married George Bell of Renwick.

Mrs. Bell was a member of United Methodist Church at Renwick, where she was the organist and church treasurer for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Fortnightly Club and secretary of the Renwick Cheese Company for many years.
