Funeral services were held on Monday Feb. 26 at 2 o'clock at Lorner Funeral home for Ben Beaver, 71, who died February 23 in Lisbon. Rev. W. A. Forred conducted the rites and interment was in Oakwood cemetery. The pallbearers were: Fred Oliver, Ed Ira, Leonard Ira, Carl Book, Henry LeMieux and Joe Fuller.

Ben Beaver was born at Eagle Grove Ia., on April 2, 1879; he came to Lisbon in 1905. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Lisbon for 27 years and had belonged to the Odd Fellows lodge in Eagle Grove for 20 years. He was unmarried and is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. W. C. Beaver of Fort Dodge, Ia., a niece Mrs. Dorothy Griep and a grand niece, Susan Griep of Fort Dodge, Ia. An adopted sister, Mrs. Duffy Anderson of Lisbon and an aunt, Mary Beaver of Goldfield, Ia.
