May 2, 1857 ---- September 10, 1921

Jonas Beaver was born at Hickory Corners in Mercer county, Penn., on May 2nd, 1857 and departed this life September 10th, 1921, aged 64 years three months and eight days. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons and one adopted daughter; M. G., Ben S. and Irene of Lisbon and W. C. of Fort Dodge, Iowa, also one granddaughter, Dorothy, age six, daughter of W. C. Beaver, one brother, Wm. Beaver of Goldfield, Iowa and sister, Ellen in Alaska. Jonas Beaver was united in marriage to Martha J. Myers July 18th, 1875. He lived in Iowa 54 years near Fort Dodge and moved to Lisbon [North Dakota] in 1915 to live with his two sons, M. G. and Ben S. with his wife who preceded him to the Great Beyond March 31st, 1920. Funeral services were held from the farm home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, and interment made in the Oakwood cemetery, Rev. H. N. Poston officiating.
