Kathaleen (Kaye) M. Dykeman passed away on April 26, 2013 in Boise, ID, she was 90. Kaye was born on June 9, 1922 to Peter and Gladys Wanken of Dayton Township, Wright County, Iowa. It was in Iowa where Kaye married Edgar Dykeman and had two sons, Jack and Robert. Edgar got a job in Southern California in the early fifties and they made their home in Riverside, California. In 1958, they were again blessed with another boy, Markley Paul Dykeman. Kaye lost her husband in 1967 from a car accident but continued to live in Riverside. She took various jobs but ended up working and retiring from Woolworth's. Kaye always kept busy. She was an avid volunteer. If she wasn't volunteering her time to "Friends of the Mission Inn", she was working with Mission Outreach at St. Catherine's Catholic Church. She was blessed with many friends and family who always occupied her time as well. Her love with organizing rummage sales at the church equaled her love to go shopping at yard/garage sales. She was proud that most of her household goods, furniture and jewelry were from garage sales. Kaye had a smile that could light a room. She was gracious, sweet and kind and she was liked by everyone who met her. Kaye is survived by her daughter-in-law, along with many family members in Iowa. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Dykeman and her sons, Jack, Robert and Markley. Kaye, your smiles, giggles and laughter will be sorely missed. The heavens have a new angel.
