Funeral services for Mrs. Edward Eggerth who passed away last Thursday were held Sunday, May 20th, ay 1:30 at the home and at 2 o'clock at the Evangelical church. The Rev. F.A. Pieper of Hubbard, former pastor, was in charge of the service, assisted by the Rev. Paul W. Neal, pastor of the Methodist church. Music was furnished by a quartette. Rev. Pieper, Dick Elmer, Mildred Pieper and Pauline Klassie, Martha Elmer accompanied on the piano. Internment was at Vernon cemetery.

Louise Elizabeth Walkner was born in Dubuque County, Iowa. Sept. 12, 1864, and passed away at her home in Renwick, May 17, 1945. at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 5 days. When she was about six months of age her parents brought her to Humboldt County by ox team and wagon. They settled on a farm about three miles northwest of Renwick. She grew to womanhood in this community, on December 26, 1888 she was united in marriage to Edward Eggerth who preceded her in death on December 27, 1943.

Immediately after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Eggerth resided in Luverne for a year, moving from there to a farm two miles northwest of Renwick, now occupied by Ernest Eggerth, where they lived until moving to Renwick in 1939. They were the parents of six children, Mrs. Lottie Starr of Onamia, Minn., George, Ernest and Henry of Renwick., Emil of Galt, and Charles of Swea City. Mrs. Eggerth is also survived by one brother, Fred Walkner of Lincoln, Neb, 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eggerth and children of Swea City; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Eggerth and son, and Miss Esther Krause of Galt; Fred Walkner of Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Lottie Starr and sons of Corwith; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Severance and Grant Trask of Eagle Grove; and Mrs. Carl Larson of Ringsted.
