Mrs. Otto Block Passed Away Sunday Morning

Although not entirely unexpected, the death of Mrs. Otto Block last Sunday morning at her home in Renwick, following a lingering illness of many months, was a great shock to the relatives and her many friends in this community.

Lottie M. Kelling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kelling, was born on the old Kelling homestead southeast of Renwick, June 7, 1879, and passed away at 7:30 a.m., June 12, 1932. Her girlhood days were spent with her parents on the farm. On May 24, 1899, she was united in marriage to Otto Block and they moved immediately to the farm southwest of Renwick, where they lived until 1931 when they moved to Renwick and have resided here ever since.

Mr. and Mrs. Block were blessed with eight children: Ralph, Lloyd and Ray, of Renwick, Mrs. Virgil Trotter of Trona, Calif., Mrs. Clifford Jordanger of Kanawha, and Bert, Blanche and Ruth at home. She leaves to mourn her death, her loving husband, eight children, two grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. McCracken, Pastor of the Presbyterian church at Goldfield giving the sermon. Burial was at Vernon cemetery.

*****

A mother has gone to her rest.
Her labors of love here are o're;
Sadly we're missing a hand and a voice
That waits on the far away shore.
She made her home a heavenly place,
She welcomed both stranger and friend.
Now she has entered His mansions prepared,
And awaits us there at the end.
When they meet, how her loved ones will miss her,
But they feel that the Father knew best,
When he called, well done, faithful worker,
Come enter the land of the Blessed.
