July 7, 1870 --- August 8, 1962

Albert A. McCurry passed away at 3:00 A. M. Wednesday morning Aug 8, 1962, at the Belmond Community hospital, Belmond, Iowa, following an illness of three months. He was 92 years old. Mr. McCurry was born on the family farm in Wright county near Renwick and Goldfield July 7, 1870. He was united in marriage on Feb 11, 1894 to Ethel G. Proud of Buchanan, Michigan. They made their home on the McCurry farm for 29 years, moving from there to Renwick in 1923. Mr. McCurry was preceded in death by his wife who passed away on Sept 29, 1932 at a hospital in Des Moines, following an operation, and a daughter Mrs. Beverly White who passed away in 1933. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Surviving are three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Velva Jones of Renwick, Mrs. Cora Eggerth of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Mrs. Grave Lee of Blooming Prairie, Minn., Ellis of Goldfield, George of Renwick and Scott of Portsmouth, Va. Eleven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
