December 20, 1884 --- April 18, 1972

Alfred Henry Martin, son of Charles Henry Martin and Mary Kelling Martin, was born Dec. 20, 1884, on the family farm near Renwick. Mr. Martin received his primary and secondary education in the Boone Township and Renwick school systems. He was graduated from University of Iowa School of Pharmacy in 1907 and worked as a pharmacist four years, then returned to the home farm which he operated until his death. February 18, 1913, he was married to Martha June Hudnell at Circleville, Ohio. Mr. Martin died April 18, 1972, in Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge. His parents, six sisters, four brothers and a daughter preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Martha, son, Maurice; a grandson, Charles and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Martin was a member of United Methodist Church of Renwick. Funeral services were held in Renwick United Methodist Church April 30 with the Rev. Donald Glasier officiating and Blake Funeral Home in charge. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield.
