August 29, 1866 -- May 9, 1928

Samuel Elsworth Moseley was born near Amboy, Ill., August 31, 1868. Died at Waterloo, Iowa, May 9, 1928. He was stricken with paralysis March 9, 1928, and from then until his death, he was confined to his bed. About a week before his death he contracted pneumonia which was too much for his weakened condition and he passed quietly and peaceful away at his home in Waterloo.

He left to mourn his loss: his wife; a daughter, Mrs. A. R. Gillions of Cowart, Va.; his father and mother; two brothers, A. W. and F. C. Moseley of Goldfield, Iowa; a niece, four nephews of Goldfield and one grandchild.

After a short service at the home the morning of May 13th, he was brought to Renwick, where a service was held at the home of Miss Ora Phipps at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. He was laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery. The services at Waterloo were conducted by Rev. J. Arthur Young of the First Methodist church, and at Renwick by Rev. J. S. Nicholson of Goldfield Methodist Church.
