June 15, 1863 -- April 28, 1908

Frederick Christoph Holk was born June 15th, 1862, at Wesselburen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. In the year of 1882 he came to America and lived first in Scott county, Iowa. The year of 1890 he was married to Miss Anna Voss to which eleven children were born. He lived 13 years on farms around Renwick and in 1903 moved to Fenton, Iowa, where he died April 28, 1908, of tuberculosis. One child preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, ten children, his father, six brothers and three sisters. He was buried from the Evangelical Lutheran church at Renwick, May 1st.
