February 18, 1896 --- November 22, 1953

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Charles H. Noonan, Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick with the Rev. Father John P. Smith in charge. Interment was made in the Sacred Heart cemetery (Mount Cavalry) at Livermore. The Rosary was said both Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home.

Nellie Iona Smith was born at Hardy, Iowa, Feb. 18, 1896, a daughter of John and Anna Smith. She was reared in the Hardy community and at Luverne where she attended high school. On January 19, 1916, Nellie Smith was united in marriage to Charles H. Noonan at the Sacred Heart church at Livermore. They farmed in the Livermore vicinity twenty seven years prior to their moving to Britt where they have been farming north of town. Mrs. Noonan was a member of the Church of St. Patrick here, as well as the Rosary Guild being active in the work of both while health permitted. She was also member of the Afternoon Club. Mrs. Noonan had been ill many months and death came Sunday, Nov, 22 while at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital. She had age of 57 years, 9 months, and 4 days. Surviving Mrs. Noonan are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Jensen, Rutland, Iowa and Mrs. Frank Redding, Luverne. There is one brother, Cecil Smith, Livermore, and ten grandchildren.
