LARSON RITES SET SATURDAY AT NORTHWOOD

Northwood - Funeral services for Lars Larson, 77, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Methodist Church, Northwood. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, rural Albert Lea. The Rev Donald M Sterling of Gordonsville will officiate. An Iowa [born in Thor, Iowa] native, he was born Sept 17, 1887 to the late Martin and Martha [Lonning] Larson. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a tiler by trade. Mr. Larson and Sarah Van Horn were married July 31, 1916 at Humboldt. She survives him. Others survivors are two sons, John M., Jamestown, ND; five daughters, Mrs. Fred (Mable) Brabec and Mrs. Chester (Esther) Wolff, both of Albert Lea; Mrs. Richard (Donna) Monson, Glenville; Mrs. Wilmer (Mildred) Kuntz, Swalesdale; and Mrs. Billy (Dovie) Stone, Minneapolis, Minn; 25 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Three brothers, Andrew, Albert Lea; Edward, Waseca; and Gehard, Lake Alice, Minn; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Peterson, Rothsay; Mrs. Tillie Fernelious, Faribault; and Mrs. Lettie Anderson, Humboldt, also survive him. Bakke Funeral Home is making arrangements.
