Services for Sarah J. Larson, 80, of 616 St Thomas Ave, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Albert Lea. Rev Leo Hagmann will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Mrs Larson died Thursday at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND. She was born Nov 17, 1898 at Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of John W. Van Horn and Laura A. (Doty) Van Horn. She had been a resident of the Albert Lea area since 1921. She married Lars Larson July 31, 1916 at Humboldt, Iowa. She was educated at Maquoketa, Livermore and Hardy Iowa schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wilson Retirement Group, Senior Citizens of Albert Lea, the Golden Age Club, and various church groups. Survivors include two sons, John Larson of Jamestown, ND; Donald Larson of Albert Lea; five daughters, Mrs. Fred (Mabel) Brabec, Mrs. Chester (Esther) Wolff and Mrs. Donna Monson, all of Albert Lea; Mrs. Wilmer (Mildred) Kuntz of St Ansgar, Iowa; Mrs. Billy (Dovie) Stone of Minneapolis; 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at Freeborn Funeral Home and at the church one hour before services.
