February 17, 1933 --- June 10, 2012

Wiggins MS -- Russell B. DeLano, Sr., 79, went home to the loving arms of his Savior on June 10, 2012. He was a wonderful father and friend. His smile and jokes made him so easy to love and he was loved by so many. Our Father was born in Galt, Iowa. He joined the Air Force and came to Mississippi, where he lived the rest of his life. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary A. DeLano; his second wife, Rosalie A. DeLano; his son, John M. DeLano; and his daughter, Wendy R. Thomas. He is survived by his sons, Russell B.(Crystal) DeLano, Jr. of Biloxi, MS, Daniel G.(Virginia) DeLano of Harrisburg, PA, Gregory D. (Theresa) DeLano of Beaufort, NC, Ronald E. (Janie) Noble of Colorado Springs, CO and Frank A. Noble of Gulfport, MS; his daughters, Robin A. (John) Barnett of Wiggins, MS, Sandra (Harry) Carroll of Saucier, MS, Kathy M. Hutchinson of Charleston, SC, Lin V. McElwain of Anchorage, AK, Alberta E. (Kent) Martin of Pass Christian, MS, Rebecca J. DeLano, both of Pass Christian, MS, Rosella L. McElwain of Anchorage, AK, Jinny L. (Bo) of Ocean Springs, MS, Sarah L. (Pat) Sparks of Anchorage, AK and LaDonna R. Strahan of Savanna, GA; 58 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in his name to the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Wiggins, MS. The family would like to express thanks to the nurses and techs on the 5th floor of Biloxi Regional Hospital; and a special thanks to the angels that run the CHF clinic there. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with an 11:00 am service, all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
