OTTAWA, Illinois — Shirley McGill, 91, of Ottawa, died Monday morning, April 1, at Rivershores Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Marseilles. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. Duane Kaufman, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Shirley was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Woolstock, Iowa, to Maurice and Nettie (Goodman) Malaise. She retired from Western Electric in Montgomery. She married Richard E. McGill on Oct. 26, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa. She was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. She is survived by her son, Richard McGill, of Marseilles; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976; a daughter in infancy; four brothers; two sisters; and two siblings in infancy. Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
