PEORIA - Ada Belle Burgess, 85, of Forrest Park, formerly of Peoria, died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in Forrest Park, Ill. She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Woolstock, Iowa, to Lucille Sterling Brock and William L. Brock. She married Ralph E. Burgess in 1951. He passed away in 2003. Surviving are two sons, Mark (Karen) of Oak Park, Ill., and Craig (Carol) of Indianapolis, Ind. Also surviving are two grandsons, Peter and Cameron. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and five sisters. She was a registered nurse, graduating from Methodist Medical Center in 1948, and retiring in 1985. Cremation rites are accorded. There will be no visitation. There will be a joint memorial service for Ada Belle and Ralph Burgess at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Richard S. Wilton, funeral director through Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home, Peoria, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to any charity of the donor's choice.
