A Mass of Christian burial will be offered for Dolores E. Drennan at noon Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Surprenant officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Drennan, 57, of 13 Viking Drive N.W., a registered nurse, died of complications of emphysema Tuesday morning (Sept. 24, 1996) at her home after a brief illness.

Dolores E. Frakes was born Oct. 27, 1938, in Goldfield, Iowa. She graduated from Goldfield High School, where she played basketball and was a member of the team which won the state championship in 1955. On Dec. 31, 1960, she married Joe Drennan in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and they were later divorced. A Rochester resident since 1968, she was a graduate of St. Marys School of Nursing and had been employed as a registered nurse at St. Marys and surrounding area hospitals. Mrs. Drennan was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and was active in the Right to Recovery group.

Survivors include four daughters, Lora (Mrs. Michael) Kane of Pine Island, and Maureen (Mrs. Mark) Kelley, Rhonda Drennan (Mrs. John Chappuis) and Jayne (Mrs. Pete) Bushman, all of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Gertrude Frakes of Eagle Grove, Iowa; a sister, Marge Smith of Springfield, Ill.; and two brothers, Larry Frakes and Harlan Frakes, both of Goldfield. Her father and a brother preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 11 a.m. Friday at Ranfranz Funeral Home, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday.
