August 13, 1887 --- September 25, 1951

Roy Stevenson, 64, passed away about midnight Tuesday at his home in Goldfield, Iowa following a sudden heart attack. Mr. Stevenson, a retired farmer, had been around town in the early evening in apparent good health. He is survived by two brothers, Frank and Harry Stevenson of Goldfield. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Presbyterian church in charge of Rev. C. G. McKnight. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery. Those attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keister, Mrs. Frank Keister of Elmore, Minn., and Mrs. Harry Musman of Lakota.

Roy R. Stevenson, son of John D. and Marybelle (McLaury) Stevenson, was born near Goldfield on August 13, 1887, and died Sept. 25, 1951, having reached the age of 64 years, 1 month and 12 days.
In 1903 he moved with his parents to Ada, Minnesota, where the family lived until 1908 when they returned to Iowa settling at Blakesburg. After the death of his father, he came to Goldfield where he cared for his mother until her death in 1934. Though his health had not been good in recent years, he continued to maintain an active interest in farming. In 1903 he became a member of the Methodist Church in Ada, Minnesota.
